Mr. Jihad Broussard, M. Ed

Jihad Broussard is an Education Advocate, Talent Guru, and currently serves as an Associate Director of Recruitment + Selection at an Education Nonprofit. He obtained a degree in Law and Society at American University, but his journey in education began when he joined Teach for America in 2016. While grappling with the problematic systems and structures of Teach for America, Jihad eventually disaffiliated and obtained a Masters’s degree in Special Education and Teaching from Howard University. After three years in the classroom, Jihad sought to fill a desire to create more opportunities for students, parents, and educators while also bringing value to the education field. Through this, Jihad found his passion for the recruitment and retention of Black educators. Through hosting The Reformist Pipeline Jihad has been able to continue to uplift Black teacher voices and create retention strategies for Black Educators. Follow Jihad on IG.

Ms. Lindsay Black, B.A.

Lindsay is an Urban Mathematics Educator, Podcast Host, and Rollerskating enthusiast who is in her 5th year of teaching and currently serves as a 7th Grade Mathematics Educator. Inspired by her own life experiences and the impact that being Black has on students in our education, Lindsay obtained a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the History Black Howard University. The network she built at Howard coupled with her passion for education reform has afforded her many opportunities to speak on panels centered around education and many other speaking opportunities. Through the launch of the podcast, Lindsay discovered that she is a Marketing and Communications Guru! Although she does not have formal training, she enjoys creating media content from scratch that is rich, eye-catching, and captivates an audience.
